Knee pain
Knee pain recovery can mean different things to different people. It could mean walking up and down the stairs freely, getting back to running and training or just getting out and enjoying a walk. The very nature of the lower limb is to deal with high load and movement and as such your rehab needs to reflect this. move well, move free, move strong.
Knee pain
Knee pain can be as a result of sprain and strains, tendonitis, Cartilage issues and Osteoarthritis. These may occur as acute or chronic conditions and may initially occur from a trauma or overuse of the structures. Knee pain recovery therefore relies on understanding the reason for injury or painful flare ups and how to then allow the joint to recover and rehabilitate to create a stronger, more reliable knee. Common issues treated include…
Runners knee
Iliotibial band syndrome/ Lateral knee pain
Patella tendonitis
Breastrokers knee/Medial knee pain

Treatment for knee pain
Treatment typically consists of a period of de loading or rest of the affected area and then as pain allows progression of joint loading to allow the appropriate adaptations to return to sport or pain free daily living. The rehab process can also help to support your long term physical health specific to your needs and requirements. The lower limb has a big role in maintaining healthy movement and mobility to live well for longer, injury rehab can be the springboard to maintain strong knees for the future.
